You can do what you don’t believe you can. We all have something in our lives that we desire to pursue, but that seems totally incomprehensible (A.K.A your mountain). How can you identify your mountain and choose to face it?

Step 1: IDENTIFY your mountain. Spend a few minutes writing in your journal, or simply on a piece of paper what it is that you want to conquer.  Nothing is silly. Nothing is stupid. The more honest you are with yourself, the more you will enable yourself to move towards what you truly want to do.

Once you have clearly defined your mountain, you can break it into doable pieces, focus your mind, and start taking action.  Stay tuned for guided exercises and powerful mental tools to propel you towards climbing your mountain!

Julie’s Turkey Cauliflower Burgers

Fuelling your body with powerful, clean food is an important part of enabling yourself to be all that can be!  This is one of my favourite creations. So easy. So delicious.

Julies Turkey Burger

I simply mixed together a package of ground turkey, 1 cup of cauliflower snow, and 1 egg.  Mix, grill, dress however you want, and eat! I chose a slice of cheese, a slice of tomato, and lettuce wraps.

I whipped up a couple of sides (which keep well so you can enjoy them all week). One was a chickpea salad and the other a quinoa salad. Keep it easy. Keep it yummy.

Pushing your physical limits requires your body to be full of good fuel. One of my favourite all time shakes is the Isagenix Pro which is packed with flavour and protein.

CLIMBING MOUNTAINS

I never thought that I would be climbing mountains. I spent too much of my life struggling with my weight and anxiety. Then one day, I found myself slowing making my way down a very famous French mountain, Alpe d’Huez, with the sole purpose of cycling back up to the top! It was the most terrifying day of my life. It was also the day that changed my life completely.  That was the day that I learned what I am truly capable of, that you can truly choose to do something, no matter how incomprehensible it may seem.

Why do I love climbing?

Climbing a mountain on my bike enables me to be in a very special space. A space where my mental, physical and spiritual beings all become one, finding a flow together that takes me to the summit. It slows me down and takes me to a world where I accomplish something huge, one pedal stroke at at time. All I can focus on is where I am at each moment, and the beauty surrounding me. Reaching the top is like nothing else in the world.

How do I train for climbing?

It requires a healthy body fuelled properly. A fit body, able to take on high intensity cardio and endurance.  It also requires a clear, focused mind.

A very important part of being able to climb your mountain, no matter what your mountain may be, is to have a clear, focused mind. With a clear mind, you can work on visualizing yourself doing whatever it is you need to do to get to your summit! Try the exercise below – do it everyday!!!
